Some of the projects that this money helped:
- “Maltings At…” will take an artist to several venues in Farnham during the week commencing 3rd August including the Foodbank in The Vineyard Church and The Chantry’s Community Centre. The artist will create work with young people and their families/carers. The groups will meet at the end of the week to share their creations with each other and have some drop-in arts activities with the artist.
- Hale Community and Youth Centre have organised a day trip to Bocketts Farm nr Leatherhead for the families they work with.
- 40 Degreez have organised a programme of structured fun activities and trips tailored to the needs of the young people they work with.
- The Chantrys Community Association have planned a series of local events for the summer and February half term that will strengthen the community at the same time as providing new and unique experiences for children and their families.
- 22nd – 24th July: Farnham Vineyard Church’s Holiday Club 2026 (ages 5 -11) is themed Under the Sea and provides high-energy fun, games, arts & crafts, singing drama and storytelling. Lunch snacks and soft drinks are provided for children, carers and volunteers. More can be learned at here
- 25th July (Saturday): – two free showings of The Golden Toad Theatre Company’s Miss Moore Thought Otherwise at Farnham Maltings. Each show lasts 35 minutes and can be booked via The Maltings Box Office.
- 18th – 21st August: Bethal Baptist Church’s Holiday Club (ages 5 -11) will engage children in crafts, games, songs and quizzes. A sandwich lunch is provided for the children and a family barbeque on the last day. You can find out more here
- 25th – 28th August: Farnham Baptist Church’s holiday club,To Eternity and Beyond, with songs, games crafts and drama for the children (ages 5 – 11) and a post drop-off cafe for parents. You can sign up here.
- The Rural Life Living Museum offers 4 Community Days during the summer and half-term holidays. As well as free access to the museum, transport is provided on the Hoppa. Tickets are distributed via Hale Community and Youth Centre and Home School Link Workers to families experiencing financial hardship. In 2026, Community Days will take place on Wednesday 5th August, Wednesday 26th August, Wednesday 28th October (Half Term) and also in February (Half Term) Wednesday 17th February 2027.

The popular Bee Safaris delivered by Hive Helpers make their return this summers. The guided walks will provide child friendly information on different species of bee, knowledge of the local environment and encourage the people to respect and enjoy nature. You can find out more here.

Seen the unseen: Ceramics
Workshops where students, families, and friends will be invited to create clay discs textured with marks reflecting the achievements and occupations of people with dyslexia.
