About the Isabella Schroder Trust and how to apply for a grant.

You can apply for the Isabella Schroder Trust if you live in Wrecclesham, your family is in need or if you are involved with an organisation that benefits the village.

Who can apply?

Grants are considered for individuals who are in financial hardship to help them for example, to buy basic items of furniture or carpets, or to pay for a child’s school trip which they would otherwise miss. Local organisations are also eligible and can receive a grant to start up or to expand their activities. Please note: individuals/families must already be getting all available state benefits before they can be considered for a grant. Each request from an individual or family normally needs a reference e.g. from a doctor, a home-school link worker, a social worker, a solicitor, the CAB or a member of the clergy.

The Trust

The Trust was set up in the Parish of Wrecclesham according to directions in the will of Miss Isabella Schroder who lived at Northbrook House, Bentley, and who died on 18 September 1863. Since then seven generations of Wrecclesham people have benefited from the Trust’s donations.
