Environmental responsibilities

The judging criteria of South and South East in Bloom includes a section on environmental responsibility. We take steps to ensure we use water wisely, which include:

• using water saving gel in all planting
• using hanging baskets and planters that contain a reservoir which saves water flowing onto the pavement
• planting drought resistant plants whereever possible to minimise the need for watering
• use peat-free and peat-reduced composts
