It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on Friday 9 April 2021. On behalf of Farnham Town Council, the Mayor of Farnham will send an official letter offering her sincerest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and members of the Royal family.
As a mark of respect, we will follow national protocols and observe a period of mourning.
Flag flying
The Union flag at Gostrey Meadow has been lowered to half-mast and a black cravat has been attached to the flag outside the Town Council office. The flags will remain like this until 8am on the day after the funeral.
