A Business Improvement District (BID) is proposed for central Farnham. If successful, this will raise over £340,000 a year for investment in projects that will benefit local businesses.

The headings for the projects which are being proposed are:

• Improved marketing and promotion of Farnham

• Safe, clean and welcoming

• Business support

• Access and car parking

• Town centre manager

The draft five-year business plan which gives more details about the project is being circulated to over 450 businesses in the BID area. In October, business rate payers will be invited to vote on whether they would like Farnham to have a Business Improvement District.
