Date/Time
Thursday 30 November 2023 - 19.00 - 21.00
Location
A self-contained and fun singing session that will run periodically at St Marks!
You will learn songs on the day in workshops designed to make people interact. No sheet music, no need previous experience, and you will sing in harmony. A low-cost session on singing with Natural Voice methodology.
Past experiences might have led some people to consider themselves ‘non-singers,’ but we can change that. How does the Natural Voice approach helps with this? We’re all about making a welcoming space where anyone, no matter their background or singing experience, can feel more confident with their voice. Whether you’re a newbie or have some singing know-how, our event is designed to accommodate various skill levels. The Natural Voice approach comes from the folk tradition in the UK, when people used to meet in folk clubs and learn songs together and from each other.
We’ll skip the technical jargon and learn songs mostly by ear. Warm-ups for both body and voice will ensure vocal health, confidence, and a lot of fun.
Singing together isn’t just about the music – it’s a cornerstone of building a strong community.
The session will last for two hours with a tea break in between.
Come and do something different!
Cost: £7 at the door.
