Date/Time

Saturday 24 May 2025 - 10.00 - 16.00

Location

Museum of Farnham

Learn about life at home and at sea during the 18th century at our second Georgian Living History Day.

Nelson’s navy, AKA historical reenactors Deeds of Arms, return to give us a taste of what life was like at sea in the 18th century. There will also be opportunities to find out about the experiences of those living on dry land, including the chance to try Georgian beauty products and see our historical costume displays.

This part of the event is free, though any donations and funds raised during the day will go towards our work of preserving and connecting people to the cultural heritage and history of Farnham. Every donation no matter how large or small makes a difference.

There will be opportunities throughout the day to join Nelson’s Navy (ticketed). During this session you can help prepare and ‘fire’ a replica 18-pound naval cannon, create a foam cutlass sword and learn how to use it in battle. Tickets for this activity can be booked on the museum’s website.
