The Farnham Local Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) was created in January 2017 with three main aims. Initially founded by the Chambers of Commerce with specific support from the Farnham Town Council and Mayor of Farnham, Right at Home GF, Specsavers, Farnham Maltings, Churches Together Farnham and Professional Training Solutions.

Aims

This Farnham DAA has identified the following priority areas

● Support and encourage Farnham organisations to be dementia friendly ● Increasing awareness of and add to Farnham services / initiatives supporting people living with dementia ● Ensure Farnham employers support their employees who are carers of people living with dementia

The growth of the organisation

The alliance hope that many organisations, both private, public and social will join and together to help  achieve the priority aims. The alliance firmly believe that without too much cost or effort, a huge difference could be made to the many people in Farnham who are affected by dementia either directly or indirectly.
