The flavour of the Surrey Hills

Cold drink

Distilleries producing hand-crafted spirits are proving to be popular with people looking for a unique taste experience.

The Farmers’ Market will be held on Sunday 26 July and will welcome the arrival of new stallholder, Silent Pool Distillers. The Albury-based business will be selling locally distilled gin, brandy and grappa flavoured by the Surrey Hills.

Cllr Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “July is a wonderful time of year for soft fruit and crisp, tasty salad. This month’s market promises to be fun and friendly and we are very much looking forward to being entertained by Steve Jackson and his band of ukeles!”

The Farnham Group of the National Childbirth Trust will provide tea and coffee at the charity tea tent.

The market will take place in Central car park between 10am and 1.30pm. Find out more information about the stalls and how to apply to be a smallholder on the Farmers’ Market pages.
