Farnham’s summer season of events will start on Sunday 31 May with the first Music in the Meadow concert. For the second year running, the concerts are being sponsored by Savills Farnham.
Music in the Meadow will begin with a return performance from the Revivals Band. The entertainment band will launch the summer programme with a range of popular music from the 1960s to the present day.
Farnham Town Council’s event organiser Steph King says: “We are delighted that Savills Farnham has agreed to be the main sponsor for Music in the Meadow. Last year the concerts proved to be very popular with over 5,000 people coming along with their friends and family to enjoy a picnic and a relaxing afternoon of great music.”
She adds: “The concerts are free to attend and we have some fantastic bands lined up who will be playing a variety of music including folk, big band, brass and jazz. This year will also see more performances by our younger residents and in June we are looking forward to holding our concert alongside the Summer Solstice Celebration, which is being organised by My Mojo Rocks.”
Any local business that might be interested in sponsoring an individual concert should contact Steph King. The concerts are held from 3pm to 5pm at Gostrey Meadow. See the full Music in the Meadow programme.
