Farnham in Bloom Community Day

Large group of people

Farnham in Bloom 2025 will spring into action on Saturday 22 March with a community day at Gostrey Meadow from 10am to 3pm.

This family-friendly event will include organised volunteering activities such as moving compost, planting new flowerbeds and litter picking. There will also be live music, children’s activities and a chance to meet the residents of an animal farm!

Councillor Mat Brown, Lead Member for Environment says: “Farnham in Bloom has earned national recognition thanks to the many volunteers who get involved every year. The campaign is about so much more than flowers, it is a vibrant community-driven project that connects local people with nature and all its benefits. Please do come along to the community day and find out how you can get involved.”

Community groups make a significant contribution to Farnham in Bloom. Badshot Lea Bloomers, space2grow, Hive Helpers, Farnham Community Farm and Brightwells Gostrey will have information stalls so you can find out more about how they are making a difference in Farnham and their volunteering opportunities.

Gold sponsors for this year’s Farnham in Bloom include The Patio Blackspot Removal Company Ltd, Squire’s Garden Centre and BBS Ltd. It is thanks to their support that Farnham Town Council can organise additional community events such as the Great British Spring Clean between 21 March and 6 April. If you know of an area that is looking a little untidy and you are willing to organise a working party to help clear it up, Farnham Town Council can provide you with litter picks and all the equipment you need.
