This September Farnham Maltings welcomes you to its Family Festival. Family Festival is a day of creative activities for young people aged 3-15 to enjoy with the adults in their lives.

A day of creativity and fun, there will be a wide range of free and low-cost creative workshops. Have a go for free at watercolour, drawing cartoons, illustration, beatboxing, pop-up comics, and even get messy making a bowl on the pottery wheel. All workshops are led by professional artists and performers such as UK championship beatboxer, Danny Ladwa, and bestselling author and cartoonist, James Parsons.

Family Festival will also host a range of free drop-in activities throughout the building. Try your hand at graffiti by adding to our large collaborative mural. The finished graffiti wall will be installed in the building throughout October for you to show off your handiwork to friends and family. Add your own imaginative spin to a large Farnham townscape with our drop-in craft activity. Play family friendly board games, meet some adorable animals, be entertained by our wandering entertainers, get your groove on in our silent disco, and learn some circus skills from Patches the clown.

In the afternoon, families will have the opportunity to watch Morgan & West’s Massive Magic Show for Kids! Expect gawps, gasps, and guffaws in this relentlessly funny and fantastical magic filled extravaganza, guaranteed to delight those aged five and 105, and indeed everyone in between!

Our foyer bar and riverside café with be transformed offering delicious street food such as Mac n Cheese, Burgers, Katsu Curry, Hot Dogs, and noodles, with vegetarian and vegan options available. Stop by our sweet shop for a range of tempting treats and snacks or quench your thirst with a cool milkshake.

Entry to the festival is free, however some events such as Morgan & West’s Massive Magic Show for Kids! will require you to pay for a ticket. We recommend booking all workshops in advance as places are limited.
