This year’s Farnham Sustainability Festival is billed as a celebration of how to live a more sustainable life for the benefit of the planet, communities and our health and well-being.
The family-friendly event will offer the opportunity for visitors to try their hand at new skills and meet local organisations, charities, artisans, food and drink producers and small businesses who all share a passion for sustainability. There will also be live music and a talks tent.
Councillor Pat Evans, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “If you want to lead a more sustainable life so you can use less energy and be less reliant on the car, I encourage you to call in at the Sustainability Festival.
“As well as picking up some tips and information about how you can reduce your carbon footprint and save money, there will also be experts on hand to talk about some fantastic local projects such as the Farnham Community Farm which supplies people in Farnham and beyond with a share of pesticide-free vegetable harvest in the form of a weekly veg bag.”
The Festival is on Saturday 22 May from 11am to 4pm at Gostrey Meadow. It is organised by Farnham Town Council and the Farnham Community Farm.
