Music in the Meadow returns

Farnham’s summer season of free weekly outside music concerts returns on Sunday 29 May.

The first band in the 2022 line up is the Missy Nelson Band. With a double bass, fiddle, banjo, cajon, guitars and mandolin, they describe their music as ‘gypsy-folk-country with some Irish and a hint of punk-abilly’!

Councillor Pat Evans, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “From the end of May until the beginning of September, we have a fantastic variety of bands lined up which have been chosen to suit a wide range of musical tastes.

“The Missy Nelson Band never disappoints and is promising to play the music you love. We look forward to welcoming families, Music in the Meadow regulars and newcomers to this year’s Sunday afternoon concerts.

Each concert will have a refreshment tent hosted by a local charity. Inner Wheel will provide tea, coffee and cake at the first concert. There will also be an information tent staffed by local councillors.

Concerts are held at Gostrey Meadow from 3-5pm and are supported by the summer events sponsor Kidd Rapinet.
