As a World Craft City, Farnham is officially one of the most creative towns in England and on Sunday 25 October, shoppers will have the opportunity to buy their very own unique piece of art.

To complement events happening throughout October Craft Month, Farnham Town Council has arranged for an art and design-led craft market to be held in West Street in partnership with ACVR Events.

During the day, the road will be closed to traffic between The Hart and Downing Street so that shoppers can browse the 38 stalls safely. The market will take place between 10am and 4pm.

Councillor Alan Earwaker, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “October Craft Month is a celebration of Farnham’s wonderful makers who will be more than happy to chat with you about their craft and how they find inspiration for their work.

“The craft market will include work from many local craftspeople who are based in Farnham or the surrounding area. You will discover some great ideas for Christmas presents as well as a few tempting treats for yourself!”

The stalls are expected to include bespoke glass, contemporary jewellery, artwork, illustration, printmaking, posters, woodturning, textiles, pet portraiture, ceramics, wire sculpture, mosaics, vinyl art and unusual handmade gifts.

Measures will be in place to ensure the market is COVID-secure. For more information contact events@farnham.gov.uk.
