Shoppers will find the very best of local produce at the June Farmers’ Market taking place on Sunday 23 June from 10am to 1.30pm in Central car park, off Victoria Road.
The market regularly attracts a loyal following of shoppers who appreciate the range of high quality, seasonal, local produce direct from those who grow, rear or make the product. As well as meat, fish, baked goods and dairy produce, there will be ready prepared items such as drinks, jams and preserves and non-food goods including plants and crafts.
Kai Jansen will perform live and refreshments will be served by the 3rdFarnham Scouts.
Taking place in Farnham on the same day is the latest Music in the Meadow at Gostrey Meadow.
Music in the Meadow is a series of live music events held throughout the summer. Farnham Town Council organises the programme to encourage residents into the town and to provide fun, free entertainment for residents of all ages.
Playing on 23 June from 3pm to 5pm will be Late to the Party, Farnham’s very own homegrown acoustic four-piece covers band. The band will put their own style to a selection of pop and rock favourites.
“Local residents often make a day of it by stocking up on picnic items at the Farmers’ Market and then heading to Music in the Meadow in the afternoon. However, we also have a charity tea tent at each show, so there is plenty of tea and cake available too,” says Councillor Earwaker, Lead Member for Tourism and Events.
Local charities take turns to run the refreshments stall, making good use of a fundraising opportunity. Hosting the tea tent for Late to the Party’s show will be Brightwells Gostrey Centre.
The summer programme of events is sponsored by Kidd Rapinet. See the full list of acts performing at this year’s Music in the Meadow.
