Families all over Farnham will be thanking their mums with dedicated Farnham in Bloom hanging baskets and flower troughs this Mother’s Day. Unlike the traditional bouquet of flowers, the hanging baskets and troughs will continue to look beautiful into summer and even early autumn. 

Iain Lynch, Town Clerk at Farnham Town Council says: “Whether you are five or 50, if you would like to make your mum feel special this Mother’s Day, why not dedicate a floral display to her. As well as seeing the flowers bloom throughout summer and beyond, she will also see her name added to the Farnham in Bloom sponsors’ board in South Street and, if you sponsor a trough, this comes with a plaque which can be dedicated to your mum. I’m sure you’ll agree this is a very special way to recognise all the things you love about your mum.”

Dedicating a hanging basket costs £70 and a flower trough is £150. It is easy to arrange through Farnham Town Council. Simply email lara.miller@farnham.gov.ukor call on 01252 712667. The Council provides a printable Farnham in Bloom thank you note to include in your Mother’s Day card.

The cost covers all preparation and planting costs plus tending the container from spring until October. The price also includes adding the dedication to the sponsors’ board which is on display from June until November.
