The main sponsors of this year’s Farnham in Bloom gathered in South Street to view the 2018 sponsor boards.
The boards are installed on the side of the supermarket in South Street and are a way for Farnham Town Council to thank and publicly acknowledge the support given to Farnham in Bloom by 96 businesses, community organisations and individuals.
Councillor Stephen Hill, Lead Member for Farnham in Bloom says: “If it wasn’t for the support of our sponsors, Farnham in Bloom would not have such a positive impact on the community. We’ve raised over £21,000 in sponsorship which has enabled us to extend Farnham in Bloom beyond the town centre, to buy the new statement planter for the roundabout in West Street and to introduce new initiatives.”
There are two sponsor boards in South Street: one lists the names of businesses and organisations and the second is dedicated to those who have sponsored a hanging basket or trough to mark a special occasion or even to remember a loved one.
Lateef Iqbal from Specsavers in Farnham says: “It gives us great pleasure to be associated with Farnham in Bloom. Knowing that our support enables Farnham Town Council to put on events and activities so that more people can get involved in this great initiative is very rewarding.”
The main sponsors of Farnham in Bloom 2018 include Corporate Sponsor Specsavers Farnham and Gold sponsors Forest Lodge Garden Centre, Graduate Landscapes, Squire’s Garden Centre, The Farnham Institute Charity, The Patio Black Spot Removal Company Ltd, Wild Flower Turf Ltd and Silver sponsors BBS Ltd, Cathcart & Winn, Glendale and Net Technical Solutions.
Sponsors are invited to Farnham in Bloom events so they can meet the people who benefit from their support. The names of key sponsors also appear in the Farnham in Bloom video which can be viewed at www.farnham.gov.uk.
