Free gardening workshops are happening during the school Easter holidays for children aged six and over.
The green-fingered fun has been arranged by Farnham Town Council and is a fun and educational way to involve younger residents in Farnham in Bloom.
The workshops will be held on Tuesday 10 April and Thursday 12 April at the Town Council’s greenhouses in West Street. There will be two sessions on each day from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm.
Councillor Stephen Hill, Lead Member for Community Enhancement says: “Farnham in Bloom is an activity that is open to the whole community. In previous workshops, it has been a joy to see the children absorbed by the activities and curious to learn. These children are our next generation of In Bloom gold medal winners, so we see it as important to inspire them at a tender age.”
The workshops are packed full of organised activities. Children will be able to take part in a number of seasonal tasks whilst learning exciting facts and practical skills.
Update on 9 April – The workshops are now fully booked.
