Free music concert

Fans of music from the ‘60s are in for a treat when Music in the Vineyard returns to Farnham on Sunday 26 February.

The free concert will be held at the Vineyard Church in Union Road between 3 and 5pm. The headline act is Surrey-based Out of the Shadows who will re-create classic sounds of the decade with songs made famous by The Shadows, Cliff Richard, Roy Orbison, The Searchers, The Beatles, Dusty Springfield and more.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “We held the first concert of Music in the Vineyard in January and it was a huge success. Lots of people attended and many made a special point of saying how the music had greatly cheered up an otherwise gloomy winter afternoon. Out of the Shadows is a lively band and I’m sure they will soon get the audience warmed up!”

As with the Music in the Meadow concerts, visitors are welcome to come along at any time. Refreshments will be available from the charity tea tent, which will be hosted by Farnham Assist.

This is the second and final winter concert to be held at the Vineyard Church. Farnham Town Council will be considering whether to hold further concerts in 2018. The summertime programme of Music in the Meadow will start on 4 June and will be held at Gostrey Meadow.
