Take tea at the farmers’ market

There should always be time for tea and this month’s Farmers’ Market, held on Sunday 22 May, promises to be the perfect place to find it! The market is held in Central Car Park off Victoria Road, Farnham from 10am to 1.30pm.

Tiger Spring Tea will be returning to sell its many varieties of tea, while the Flavoured Shortbread Company, offering handmade shortbread in delicious flavour combinations, will make its first appearance.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “Shoppers can expect excellent, fresh and local produce direct from the producer including meat, fish and dairy produce. There will also be some fabulous fruit and vegetables as lots of our seasonal stallholders are back at this month’s market.

“For gardeners, plants will be available from R C Court & Sons and beautifully scented roses from Seale Nurseries. Plus, there will be herb plants from specialist nursery, Pepperpot.”

Other produce available includes bread and cakes, honey, cheese, meat, jam, pickles, preserves, muesli and much more. Many of the products can be sampled before purchase.

The tea tent will be run by the Parkinson’s Society with music from local musician Patrick Webber. Surrey Open Studios will also attend and will give out information about their summer events.
