Garden enthusiasts and nature lovers are being called upon to enter Farnham’s Secret Gardens competition.
There are four new categories this year including the Best Bee Friendly Border, Best Wildlife photo, Best Shop Window display and a chance to nominate a garden that you’ve seen and think is worthy of recognition.
Councillor Mat Brown, Lead Member for Environment says: “We are inviting residents to showcase their gardening talents and inspire others to do something good for the environment. The Secret Gardens competition celebrates gardening on all scales from micro plots in containers up to large spaces. Our judges will be looking for examples of good environmental stewardship and gardens that inspire.”
The competition is open to residents, community groups and businesses who live in Farnham. This includes Badshot Lea, Hale, Upper Hale, The Bourne, Boundstone, Heath End, Moor Park, Rowledge, Weybourne, Wrecclesham and the town centre.
It’s free and easy to enter via www.farnham.gov.uk. Judging will take place in July and August. There will be awards for the winners in each category.
