An art and craft makers market will be held in West Street on Sunday 23 May from 10am to 4pm and follows hot on the heels of April’s successful antiques and brocante street market.
Complementing Farnham’s World Craft Town status, the market in May will feature some 38 stalls celebrating artists and craft makers from Farnham, across Surrey and beyond.
Local producers will also be appearing at the monthly Farnham Farmers’ Market which is happening on the same day in Central car park between 10am and 1.30pm.
Councillor Alan Earwaker, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “The West Street open air markets are just one example of a number of initiatives we are backing to encourage people to stay loyal and spend locally.
“The recent antiques market was very well received. Shoppers enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and liked having the space to browse safely in a traffic-free West Street. By championing COVID-secure events such as the market, we hope to encourage people to visit Farnham town centre and support local businesses.”
The West Street markets are organised by ACVR Events in partnership with Farnham Town Council. For more information call Jackie Edwards on 07514 680872.
