Music in the Meadow is back from 30 May at Gostrey Meadow – to the delight of music fans looking for family-friendly free outdoor entertainment this summer. Music in the Meadow is a season of free, live music concerts taking place in Gostrey Meadow every Sunday afternoon (3-5pm) until September.

The concerts are part of Farnham Town Council’s summer programme of events which is sponsored by Kidd Rapinet.

“It feels great to be welcoming the first band to our weekly live concerts. Eclectica will treat the audience to an eclectic mix of pop, soul, jazz and international sounds. Visitors can expect clear and straightforward arrangements to make the concert Covid-secure. With social distancing measures in place, that leaves you free to relax and enjoy the show with your family or small group of friends,” says Councillor Pat Evans, Lead Member for Tourism and Events.

To ensure social distancing, ‘bubbles’ will be marked out with spray paint on the ground, allocating space for groups of two, four or six people. Tickets can be reserved for Music in the Meadow concerts two weeks before the event. The tickets are free, but numbers are strictly limited so booking is essential. A link for reserving tickets can be found on Farnham Town Council’s website.

“We are looking forward to welcoming bands and audiences to Music in the Meadow every week until 5 September. We have an amazing line-up of acts including familiar old favourites and some exciting new local talent,” continues Councillor Evans. “There will be plenty to suit every taste, with a fresh act each Sunday. You can find the summer line-up on our website.”
