Fresh local produce will be in abundance at the Farnham Farmers’ Market on Sunday 28 June.
This month there will be even more stallholders with produce ranging from freshly harvested fruit and veg to locally reared meat, newly laid eggs and delicious beverages. Regular stallholders Ringden Farm will sell local apples and juice and Selsey Willows will be bring along their catch of fresh fish.
Councillor Alan Earwaker, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “In May, we introduced new measures so that people could maintain social distance while shopping for items from their favourite producers. The market was a great success and we received extremely positive feedback from both shoppers and stallholders – so much so, that our market has been used as a model by other market organisers in the area.
“This month, we have built on our experiences and have invited even more stallholders to attend as we feel very confident that we can provide a safe shopping place for all. Although the market does look and feel very different to previous markets, shoppers will still receive the same warm welcome.”
A takeaway tea and coffee stall will be hosted by the Farnham-Andernach Friends Association. Any money raised will go the Association and Farnham Coronavirus Support Fund. A full list of stallholders who are expected to attend the market can be found at www.farnham.gov.uk/farmersmarket. The market takes place from 10am to 1.30pm in Central car park.
