Young musician set to impress

Older people watching a band perform inside a church hall

A music student from Farnborough College will perform at Music in the Vineyard on Sunday 24 March.

Matt Lloyd Mostyn first came to the attention of Farnham Town Council when he played at the Farnham Christmas Market. He so impressed the events team that they asked him to return as the star act at the Sunday afternoon winter concert.

Matt will be supported by a full band. They will play cover tracks ranging from Elvis Presley to Coldplay as well as a few Oasis tracks and some of Matt’s own material.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “I’m really looking forward to hearing Matt play again. He is very talented and attracted large crowds at the Christmas Market.

“The concert is sponsored by Bourne Wood Manor care home which is in West Street and I really hope some of the residents will be able to come along to the concert.”

Music in the Vineyard is from 3pm to 5pm at Farnham Vineyard Church in Union Road.

Visitors will be able to purchase refreshments from the charity tea stall which will be hosted by Brightwells Gostrey Centre or perhaps bring a few seasonal treats from the Farmers’ Market which takes place on the same day from 10am to 1.30pm at Central car park.
