Services to Farnham Awards open

Mayor with group of 11 winners of Services to Farnham awards.

Farnham Town Council is seeking entries for this year’s Services to Farnham Awards.

The Awards give recognition to those people who are providing an outstanding or crucial service to people in Farnham.

Councillor David Attfield, Mayor of Farnham says: “We need your help with identifying Farnham’s pillars of society and community stalwarts. We are looking for the unsung heroes whose drive and passion are making a positive difference to our community.

“Last year, we presented 11 awards in recognition of services to the community, scouting, Farnham Lions, Farnham Hedgehogs, the environment, Farnham Brass Band, the community of Rowledge and the Tilford Rural Life Centre.”

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Services to Farnham page or hard copies can be picked up from Farnham Town Council in South Street. The closing date for nominations is 1 December 2018.

The nominations will be considered by a selection panel and a shortlist will be put forward to a Full meeting of Farnham Town Council at the end of January.

Everybody who is shortlisted will be invited to an awards evening in February where they will be presented with a certificate and medal by the Mayor of Farnham, Councillor David Attfield. The awards’ medals are kindly sponsored by Sir Ray Tindle of the Tindle News Group.
