Farnham Town Council’s annual greenhouse open day is on Thursday 17 May between 10am and 12 noon and 6pm to 7pm.
Despite the slow start to spring, the milder weather has meant the greenhouses are now brimming over with hanging baskets and plants so there will be plenty for visitors to see.
Iain Lynch, Town Clerk at Farnham Town Council says: “The Farnham team has grown some 26,000 plug plants this year, which is a record number for Farnham in Bloom.
“We’d love to show you some of what goes on behind the scenes of Farnham in Bloom so please do come along to our open day. The outside workforce team has been busy nurturing the plants throughout the colder weather and they are now ready to open the greenhouse doors and reveal the fruits of their labour. The sight of so many plants just waiting to brighten our streets is quite fantastic.”
Anybody wishing to attend greenhouse open day, is asked to email lara.miller@farnham.gov.uk.
