The Mayor of Farnham, Councillor Mike Hodge, is inviting local residents to come to the Annual Town Meeting which takes place on Thursday 22 March from 7pm at the Mercure Farnham Bush Hotel.

All electors are welcome to attend and are free to ask questions or make comments about issues relating to Farnham. Where an issue is not a Town Council responsibility, town councillors present will do their best to answer or follow up with the relevant organisation.

Councillor Cockburn says the meeting is an excellent way to find out about the services the Town Council provides and the plans for new initiatives and activities in the coming year. “Far from being a remote or impersonal organisation, we are an active local council made up of people who care passionately about Farnham and its surrounding villages and are very much involved in community life. We represent, and our work is funded by, the people of Farnham. The Annual Town Meeting is an important part of our local democracy and we would like as many electors as possible to come and share local issues, find out how money is spent and ask questions or comment on Farnham life,” says Councillor Cockburn.

The Town Council has asked that people wishing to attend the meeting email customer.services@farnham.gov.uk or call the Council on 01252 712667 so they can ensure that everyone can be accommodated. The meeting will be chaired by the Mayor, Councillor Mike Hodge, and is expected to finish around 9pm.
