The ballot for this year’s Civic Christmas Carol Service is now open, meaning that members of the public can apply for tickets for this popular traditional event.
The Mayor of Farnham, Councillor Mike Hodge, who will host the service, explains: “The carol service has become a highlight of Farnham’s Christmas celebrations. There are limited tickets as half are given to volunteers from local organisations as a ‘thank you’ for their valuable work during the year. The rest are allocated through a ballot held with the Farnham Herald. Anyone can apply for tickets so do enter to be in with a chance of sharing in this very special local tradition.”
The ballot application form was published in the Farnham Herald on 17 November and will also appear on 24 November. Simply fill in and return the form to enter.
The service will be held at St. Andrew’s Church on Thursday 14 December. It will be led by the acclaimed Farnham Youth Choir and includes traditional carols and readings. All guests are invited to a reception before the service where refreshments will be served courtesy of the Farnham Herald.
