Farnham’s Christmas lights switch-on will take place on Saturday 18 November in the town centre. The event, which is organised by Farnham Town Council will start at 1pm and will include an afternoon of festive activities and family fun at Gostrey Meadow. The lights will be officially turned on at 4.30pm.
This year, Christmas in Farnham is proudly sponsored by Specsavers in Farnham. The spectacular Christmas lights switch-on has been made possible thanks to gold sponsorship from the recruitment agency Personnel Selection and Aura Care Living retirement village specialists and BBS Ltd which is silver sponsor.
The Christmas lights switch-on will include all the festivities Christmas shoppers would expect, such as carols, a nativity, panto characters and Santa’s grotto, plus a mini fairground, mulled wine and hot roasted chestnuts.
Farnham’s Christmas spirit is spreading further this year as, new for 2017, Christmas lights are planned for Badshot Lea, Heath End and Rowledge.
