Lunch from the Farmers’ Market

Plate of fruit scones

April will see the return of some popular seasonal stallholders to the Farnham Farmers’ Market.

Arriving just in time for the start of the gardening season, Seale Nurseries will be selling plants and roses. The family-business specialises in fragrant roses; especially highly scented climbing roses. They provide helpful advice on choosing the right plant for a specific place in the garden and grow a range of large plants to give instant impact.

The Farmers’ Market will also have all the ingredients needed for a delicious Sunday lunch. Mill Farm Organics will offer a selection of organic beef, lamb and pork that they have produced themselves and Sopley Farm will be selling a range of fresh, seasonal and locally grown vegetables and fruit.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “Farnham Farmers’ Market is a great place for people to sample and discover new varieties and flavours of everyday foods. The Market supports the local economy and provides an outlet for consumers to buy items direct from producers who are passionate about what they do.”

The charity tea tent will be run by the Friends of Ridgeway School and live music will be played by the ukulele band UKAN HOP.

Local producers that are interested in attending the Farmers’ Market can find out more on our Farmers’ Market pages.
