A successful year for Farnham in Bloom will conclude on Sunday 20 December with a community winter celebration.
Carols around the Christmas tree will take place at Gostrey Meadow from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Farnham Brass Band will play favourite Christmas carols and members of a local choir will lead the singing.
Councillor Stephen Hill, Lead Member for Community Enhancement says: “The winter celebration is always a popular event. Taking place just five days before Christmas, it will be a wonderful way to get people into the festive mood.
“We will also be building upon this year’s successful collaboration with The Dance Movement. Young people from Potters Gate School and the Rowledge Youth Dance Company will perform a dance based upon Christmas lights, which I am sure will be wonderful.”
To round off the celebration, mulled wine and mince pies will be served by the Hale Chapels Trust.
