Farnham’s Christmas lights will be switched on this Saturday (21 November).
From 1pm, Gostrey Meadow will be filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas. School children, local theatre groups, bands and dance companies will entertain the crowd with festive music and dance, singing, traditional carols and Christmas performances. Children will be able to have their faces painted, enjoy a fairground ride or visit Santa in his grotto.
There will be a variety of side-stalls selling food, drink and gifts. Cast members from the Princes Hall’s production of Cinderella and the Harlington Centre’s performance of Aladdin will mingle with the crowd.
The lights will be switched on at 4.30pm by the Mayor of Farnham, Cllr Mrs Pat Frost and the cast of Aladdin. After the switch-on, anybody not wishing to continue with their shopping will be able to enjoy more live music and entertainment until 6pm.
For the full programme, see the Christmas in Farnham page.
