Farnham Town Council is looking for local businesses to take part in this year’s popular Feast of Food.
Sponsored by Specsavers, Feast of Food is a two-week event that runs from Friday 11 to Sunday 27 September. It includes an Italian Market, a Food Fortnight, which leads up to a one-day Festival of Food and a Farmers’ Market.
The pubs, restaurants and caterers that are selected to take part in Food Fortnight will each offer their diners an exclusive three-course menu on one day only during the fortnight.
Cllr Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “During this year’s Food Fortnight we would like to see even more businesses getting involved. We want to encourage food and non-food businesses to collaborate and offer a really exciting food experience to those who wish to dine. For example, a local restaurant may want to team up with a garage and serve intimate dinners for two in the car showroom or maybe a local fish and chip shop or caterer could get together with a local school and turn the dining room into a community restaurant for the night. As well as the more unusual, we would also like to invite traditional pubs and restaurants to get involved too. Feast of Food is a fantastic way to bring the town together and to celebrate the variety of international, national and local cuisine that can be found in Farnham.”
The 2014 Feast of Food was supported by thousands of residents and visitors. Participants in the 2015 Food Fortnight will benefit from a free publicity package, which will include promotion in more than 10,000 copies of the Feast of Food guide.
To register an interest in taking part, businesses should contact Steph King or call her on 01252 713582.
