To celebrate Armed Forces’ Day, Farnham Town Council will be holding a short flag-raising ceremony outside the Council Offices in South Street.
Representatives from the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, the Army Benevolent Fund, Royal British Legion and 229 Air Squadron Air Training Corps will gather as the Mayor of Farnham, Cllr Mrs Pat Frost unfurls the official Armed Forces’ Day flag.
The national event will be held in Guildford on Saturday 27 June. There will be a special service at Guildford Cathedral, a formal parade in Guildford High Street, a spectacular military show at Stoke Park followed by ‘picnic and proms in the park’ and an impressive air display.
