Remember a loved one

Snow, grave stones, trees in background, blue sky

Farnham Town Council’s Christmas memorials have returned to the cemeteries at West Street, Hale, Badshot Lea and Green Lane.

The memorials offer visitors an opportunity to write and display a personal message in memory of a loved one.

At West Street cemetery, messages can be tied to one of two maple trees which are situated close to the main entrance. At Green Lane, Hale and Badshot Lea, messages can be displayed on a memorial trellis which and can be found near the new noticeboards, close to the main entrances.

Cllr Carole Cockburn, Lead Member for Cemeteries says: “Christmas is a time for remembering and our cemeteries provide a quiet haven, for people to visit and think about their loved ones. The memorial trellis is designed to provide a dedicated space for people to leave their special messages for somebody they have lost.”

Waterproof tags are available from Farnham Town Council’s office in South Street or people are welcome to supply their own.

The memorial cards will remain in place until 8January. See our cemeteries pages for details about the locations of the cemeteries.
