Farnham Youth Choir gave a stunning performance at Farnham Town Council’s candlelit civic Christmas carol service on Wednesday.
Half the tickets were made available to local community organisations and the remainder were allocated to members of the public who had applied via a ballot in the Farnham Herald.
The concert included traditional carols and five lessons and was led by the Rev’d Canon Nigel Nicholson DL. The choir was conducted by musical director and conductor David Victor-Smith MBE.
Councillor Jeremy Ricketts, the Mayor of Farnham, says: “The service was delightful and the performance by Farnham Youth Choir was a joy. The church had been decorated for Christmas and looked beautiful. I would like to thank everybody who came and who helped to make this such a special event. I would particularly like to pay tribute to Sir Ray Tindle and the Farnham Herald for sponsoring the service and reception held at St Andrew’s Infants’ School. “
