For the second year, the highly acclaimed Farnham Youth Choir will be performing at Farnham’s civic Christmas carol concert at St Andrew’s church on Wednesday 17 December.

Half the tickets are being made available to local community organisations and the remainder allocated in advance to members of the public who apply via a ballot in the Farnham Herald.

The concert, which has been organised by Farnham Town Council in association with the Farnham Herald, will include traditional carols and five lessons. The service will be led by the Rev’d Canon Nigel Nicholson DL and the choir will be conducted by musical director and conductor David Victor-Smith MBE.

Councillor Jeremy Ricketts, the Mayor of Farnham, says: “I am delighted that the internationally renowned Farnham Youth Choir has agreed to perform at our civic Christmas carol concert. The event was very popular in 2013 and was enjoyed by everybody who attended.”

Guests will be invited to arrive at 6.30pm at St Andrew’s Infants’ School where they will be served complimentary refreshments. At 7pm, ticketholders will be asked to make their way to the church and to take their seats ready for the concert which will begin at 7.30pm.

To apply for up to two tickets, the coupon on page 10 of the 28 November edition of the Farnham Herald should be completed and returned to the Farnham Herald’s office in West Street. Successful applicants will receive their tickets in the post. All tickets will be allocated in advance of the concert: there will be no tickets available on the door.
