Apply for a 2015/16 community grant

Farnham Town Council is inviting applications from local groups that are seeking funding of up to £2,000 for a one-off project or a scheme that requires financial assistance for up to three years.

The community grants budget is over £50,000 and is available for initiatives that promote the environment and/or community life for residents who live in the Farnham Town Council area.

Grants that have been awarded this year included £900 towards a project by the 3rd Farnham Scout Group to install a disabled toilet and shower; £2,000 for new sightscreens at Rowledge Cricket club and £1,500 towards the funding of 12 sessions of pop up craft for families organised by the Farnham Maltings.

Cllr John Ward says: “A community grant can make a big difference to local groups and sometimes be all that is needed to help a project to get off the ground. We welcome applications from organisations that are seeking money for cultural and heritage schemes; leisure facilities; community buildings; community transport; facilities for younger or older people and environmental projects.”

The deadline for submitting an application is Friday 19 December. All applications will be considered in January before going before Full Council in February /March for the final decision.

The community grant criteria and application form can be found on our grants pages.
