Farnham Town Council has produced a free, official town guide that includes information about things to do, the area’s history, art and culture, heritage and guides to shopping and eating and drinking.
The full colour, 40 page visitors’ guide has been funded by advertising and has been circulated to tourist attractions and leaflet distribution points around the town.
Cllr Jill Hargreaves, Lead member for Tourism and Events says: “If you have friends and family visiting this summer, I thoroughly recommend picking up a copy of the official town guide. The section called Farnham for Families is particularly good and includes ideas for low cost days out, things to do on a rainy day and child friendly places to eat. There is so much to do in and around Farnham and I am very much looking forward to revisiting a few places that are featured in the guide.”
For visitors, the guide includes a detailed town centre map which highlights places of interest. There is also information about local hotels, bed and breakfast accommodation and self-catering options.
