Hits from the past will be revived at this year’s first Music in the Meadow concert, which will take place on Sunday 1 June and is organised by Farnham Town Council.
The Revivals Band will be performing from 3pm in the bandstand on Gostrey Meadow. The five-piece band consists of drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, saxophone and vocals. The band has an impressive tried and tested playlist with songs from the 1960s to present day. All musical tastes are catered for with a mix of pop, rock and roll, soul, country and rhythm and blues.
Cllr Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “The first Music in the Meadow marks the start of our summer season of entertainment. It is time to shake out the picnic blankets, dust off the deck chairs and to gather friends and family for this fantastic free event, which is sponsored by Savills Farnham. I am particularly looking forward to hearing The Revivals Band who describe themselves as a ‘proper band of musicians that has been performing for many years’.”
The charity tea tent will be hosted by 1st Rowledge Rainbows and Guides who will be selling lots of delicious treats.
Music in the Meadow takes place every Sunday from 3-5pm. Further information about the 2014 programme can be found on the Music in the Meadow page of our website.
