Ask a question about what is happening in Farnham

Farnham’s Annual Town Meeting will take place on Thursday 27 March in The Bush Hotel conference suite from 7 to 9pm.

The Annual Town Meeting is chaired by the Mayor of Farnham and is an opportunity for local people to find out what the Town Council has achieved during the last year and what it has planned for the next 12 months.

Presentations will be given by the Town Councillors who represent working groups such as Tourism and Events, the Neighbourhood Plan and Farnham in Bloom.

Electors can ask questions about any issue affecting Farnham. If the matter is not a Town Council responsibility, town councillors present will do their best to answer the question or follow up on issues with the relevant organisation.

Councillor John Ward, Spokesperson for Farnham Town Council says: “In recent years the Annual Town Meeting has gained in popularity as it is a good mechanism for people to raise concerns or to have their questions answered about matters affecting the town. In 2013 over 120 people attended and it would be great to see even more people coming to this year’s meeting. There is a lot happening in the villages and the town centre and the Annual Town Meeting offers electors the perfect chance to find out more from the people who are making decisions locally.”

Everybody who is registered to vote in the Farnham Town Council area is welcome to attend the meeting. To help with catering arrangements, it would be helpful if anybody wishing to come along could contact Ginny Gordon on 01252 712667 or email ginny.gordon@farnham.gov.uk.
