Fans of Farnham in Bloom, gardening and all things floral are invited to the Farnham in Bloom golden Winter Celebration which takes place on Sunday 17 December, from 2.30-3.30pm at Gostrey Meadow, Farnham.
Farnham in Bloom Community Group and Farnham Town Council are holding the free event to celebrate this year’s achievements of gold awards in South and South East in Bloom and Britain in Bloom as well as a year of community collaboration and volunteering.
There will be mulled wine, mince pies and live music by Farnham Brass Band. There will even be the opportunity to sing along to some Christmas classics!
“Farnham in Bloom brings so many local people together and has such as positive impact on the town, not just in the summer when the blooms and greenery are on show, but throughout the year when the planning and many of the activities take place. It’s wonderful at this time of year to invite people to look back at 2018’s successes,” says Councillor Stephen Hill, the Lead Member for Farnham in Bloom.
The Winter Celebration will offer a chance to find out about Farnham in Bloom 2018 and to buy pots of hyacinths planted by children at the Bloomin’ Kids’ Gardening Workshops in October. Proceeds from the sale of mulled wine and mince pies will go to ‘Simon’s Trust’.
