The ballot has opened for people wishing to apply for tickets for this year’s Civic Christmas Carol Service.
The hour-long service has been organised by Farnham Town Council in association with the Farnham Herald. It will take place on Tuesday 15 December at St Andrew’s Church. The service will be led by Rev’d Canon Nigel Nicholson DL and will include traditional carols and five lessons.
Councillor Mrs Pat Frost, Mayor of Farnham says: “I am thrilled to announce that the highly acclaimed Farnham Youth Choir has agreed to perform at the service for the third year running. The choir will be conducted by musical director David Victor-Smith MBE.
“As in previous years, to thank our community organisations for everything they do, we will be presenting them with half the tickets. The remaining half will be allocated to members of the public via a ballot. The concert promises to be a truly special way to mark the last few days leading up to Christmas.”
The concert will start at 7.30pm with refreshments available between 6.30pm and 7pm at nearby St Andrew’s School. Anybody wishing to apply for tickets should complete the coupon in the Farnham Herald on Friday 20 November. The draw will take place on Friday 4 December.
